According to a report in the “Bild” newspaper, the 27-year-old is to switch to the future third division club from Aue in the coming season. However, there is no official confirmation of this transfer yet.

Born in Hoyerswerda (Bautzen district), the attacking midfielder last played for the Würzburger Kickers, but was relegated from the 3rd division with them. According to Transfermarkt.de, he would be without a club from July 1, 2022 – but now he seems to have found a new club with the violets.

This change would be particularly explosive, since the 1.78 meter tall offensive player has a past at Dynamo Dresden – and it is well known that there is a certain rivalry between the SGD and the FCE, as is repeatedly shown in exciting Saxony derbies.

Stefaniak only wore the black and yellow jersey in the 2020/2021 season and before that for a few years in his youth: After starting out as a footballer at FC Lausitz Hoyerswerda and SV 1919 Hoyerswerda (until 2008), he came to SC Borea Dresden (2008 to 2019). 2011) and then switched to the Dynamo youth team.

From 2011 he played first in the U17s and then in the U19s of Dresden – before he made it into the first team in the summer of 2013. He stayed in the Saxon capital until 2017 and then switched to VfL Wolfsburg for a proud fee of two million euros, but he was never used in the Bundesliga.

Loans to 1. FC Nürnberg and Greuther Fürth followed – and in October 2020 the two-footed Saxon was loaned out again to the SGD, with whom he was then able to celebrate promotion back to the second division in the summer.
