Sunday question: Which game console do you remember best?

The PlayStation 5 (test) and the Xbox Series X|S (test) were released in November 2020 and already represent the 9th generation of game consoles, but which of them is your big favorite? If you had to choose a console, which one would win?

Which game console is your favorite?

For more than 22 years, ComputerBase has also accompanied the development of stationary and mobile game consoles with news, tests and reports.

It all started with the very first Xbox (test), which was equipped with an Intel Pentium III (“Coppermine”) with 733 MHz and an Nvidia GeForce 3 (“NV2A”) and had to prove itself to the editors back in May 2002. Also, the Sunday format C:B_retro has illuminated almost all relevant consoles.

Game consoles and home computers are available

To expand the selection a little, there are also various home computers such as the Atari 2600 from 1977, the legendary Commodore 64 from 1982 and the Amiga 500, which was successful in the mid to late 1980s.

Well-known game consoles and home computers from 1977 to today

If you had to choose just one gaming console or home computer, what would your favorite be? Which system left the biggest lasting impression on you?

While the 9th generation of game consoles, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S, are already vying for the favor of players and the 9.5 generation is already positioning itself for 2023/24, each new generation brought new features with it – but which generation was particularly groundbreaking for you?
