Robert Lewandowski: Hasan Salihamidzic on the phone with the Bayern star

First report from June 7th: Munich – Next episode in the Robert Lewandowski case at FC Bayern: After the Polish super striker confirmed his desire to change this summer in a podcast interview in his home country that was published on June 6th, he called 33-year-old striker this Tuesday (June 7) with the Munich sports director. Hasan Salihamidzic reported on a corresponding telephone call picture (behind a payment barrier).

“Robert Lewandowski called me today. Among other things, we also talked about his public statements of the past few days. I clearly explained our point of view on his contract situation,” the 45-year-old Bosnian told the daily. Salihamidzic went on to say: “Herbert Hainer, Oliver Kahn and I have said several times about his desire to change, so I want to leave it at that.”

I clearly explained to him our position on his contract situation.

Lewandowski had previously followed up in the transfer dispute with his employer from Säbener Straße in Munich (since 2014). The football portal onet sports published excerpts from the Polish podcast “WojewódzkiKędzierski”. The attacker therefore explained: They did not want to listen to me to the end. Something has died inside me. And that cannot be overcome. I want more emotions in my life. Even if they want to be professional, they can’t make amends.”

FC Bayern: What will become of Robert Lewandowski?

The Pole is further quoted in the report: “When you’ve been at the club for so many years, you’ve always been ready and available, despite the injuries and pain, you’ve done your best, I think it’s best, a good solution for find both sides. And not to look for a unilateral decision. It makes no sense. Not after this time.”

Before sports director Salihamidzic, FCB honorary president Uli Hoeneß had tried to smooth the waves in Lewandowski’s personnel. The 70-year-old club patron from Tegernsee said at Sport1: “It didn’t go quite as well as he and especially his special agent (Pini Zahavi, d. editor) want that, and then you get angry. I would recommend everyone involved to remain objective, not to let the matter escalate, and then the sun will soon shine again over the house of Lewandowski/Bayern Munich.” (pm)
