As stated in a message, several players no longer have valid contracts for the 3rd division after relegation.
These are: Patrick Wiegers (32), Justin “Leo” Löwe (23), Kevin Broll (26), Kevin Ehlers (21), Chris Löwe (33), Agyemang Diawusie (24), Sebastian Mai (28), Panagiotis Vlachodimos (30), Heinz Morschel (24)
“It’s all the more difficult to say goodbye because most of them are long-time regulars, identification figures and faces of the SGD,” it says.

Dynamo loan player Stor does not want to go back to Dresden
Ralf Becker, Managing Director Sport, commented on the departures: “These are all players to whom we are really very grateful. But due to the relegation, very difficult decisions have to be made due to the contractual situation. Partly by us as a club, partly by the players .”
Another quartet has to leave Florence on the Elbe after one season: Brandon Borrello (26), Marius Liesegang (22), Anton Mitryushkin (26) and Michael Sollbauer (32).

Patrick Wiegers played for SGD for eight years and was between the posts 27 times. “Whether and in which function the 32-year-old of the SGD may remain is currently the subject of mutual discussions,” it said in a statement.
His goalkeeper colleague Kevin Broll looked after the Dynamo goal in a total of 108 competitive games and was one of the team’s permanent fixtures.
Kevin Ehlers (59 competitive games), Chris Löwe (67 competitive games) and Sebastian Mai (42 competitive games) were also seen as role models for the club. Just like Justin Löwe, who has been with Dynamo Dresden since 2010.

Agyemang Diawusie, Panagiotis Vlachodimos (both changed in the summer of 2020) and Heinz Mörschel (changed in the winter of 2020) also currently have no valid third division contracts, as does Michael Sollbauer (37 competitive games), Brandon Borrello (18 competitive games), Anton Mitryushkin (five competitive matches). Goalkeeper Marius Liesegang was not used for the SGD.

It was previously announced that the contracts of loan players Antonis Aidonis (21), Vaclav Drchal (22), Adrian Fein (23) and Guram Giorbelidze (26) are ending. They return to their original clubs.
Aidonis came to SGD from VfB Stuttgart and made twelve appearances in the DFB Cup and the 2nd Bundesliga.
Guram Giorbelidze has the most appearances from the loan players, who played 17 times in the league and once in the relegation.
Forward Vaclav Drchal was loaned to Dresden from Sparta Prague but has failed to score in 14 appearances (12 in league, two in relegation). Adrian Fein came from Bayern Munich, missed the entire second half of the season due to illness and injury and did not play a single minute for Dynamo.
An official farewell to players did not take place this time.
The last game of the season was the relegation second leg against Kaiserslautern.
At the time it was not yet clear in which league the black and yellow will compete in 2022/23, which has a direct impact on whether contracts will remain valid or not.
