Showdown in court! Johnny Depp’s (57) defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard (36) is heading towards the final week of negotiations after more than a month.
It will probably be the decisive hour of the judiciary mud battle of the year.
Particularly exciting: Johnny Depp himself is called to the witness stand again by Amber’s lawyers. And there is another explosive statement to be made. Jennifer Howell, a friend of Amber Heard’s sister Whitney Henriquez (34), is to take the stand. But not for Amber, but for Johnny!

Jennifer Howell is expected to reveal the truth under oath about the infamous staircase row. And with a good outcome for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star.
In plain language: Howell could expose Amber and her younger sister Whitney as liars!
What is the stair fight about?
The “staircase incident” is said to have occurred in March 2015.
At that time, the newly married couple lived in a penthouse. There, an argument broke out when Amber confronted Johnny about already cheating on her. Amber’s sister Whitney Henriquez is said to have been there.
According to her statement, the drunk Johnny nearly pushed her down the stairs.

Whitney Henriquez testified in court that her sister hit Johnny Depp at that moment to protect her from him. Before that, however, Amber would never have raised a hand against Depp.
Whitney: “Johnny had grabbed Amber’s hair with one hand and repeatedly slapped her in the face with the other.”
Her friend of all people could now throw a new picture of the incident. Was it all a lie?
Jennifer Howell is expected in Virginia courthouse Monday to tell a very different version of the stair fight.

Producer and entrepreneur Howell, who used to employ Henriquez as an employee for her foundation, testified in court in 2020 during Depp’s trial against the “Sun” that she and Whitney are like sisters. At the time of the “staircase incident,” she had Whitney live with her.

Jennifer Howell claims: Whitney was completely distraught when she came to her home from Depp and Heard. She told her that she tried to stop Amber from attacking and punching Johnny. And Amber almost pushed her sister down the stairs.
So, according to Howell, it all happened the other way around!
Her words, recorded in the transcript: “Whitney told me, ‘I was afraid Amber would kill Johnny.'”

But why is Whitney sticking with Amber now?
In 2020, she told The Mirror that Jennifer Howell’s statements were “completely fabricated.”
Another contradiction that needs to be resolved. In any case, there is not much time left for this in court. The closing arguments will be read out on Friday.
