“Gotham Knights” will not support microtransactions, as can be seen from an FAQ. There are also currently no plans for cross-platform gaming sessions.

The FAQ once again confirms that the action RPG will feature a “completely new, original story” set in the Batman universe. However, there is “no connection to the Batman: Arkham games”.

Waiver for the best possible gaming experience

Another point is dedicated to the deletion of the Xbox One and PS4 versions, which will be explained again in the beginning. In order to offer players “the best possible gaming experience,” the game will only be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, but will not be available for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles, according to WB Games Montreal in the FAQ.

Whether this means that the previous versions had performance problems or caused other difficulties cannot be found in the FAQ either.

Despite being listed on the PlayStation Store on a Four player co-op mode pointed outwhich was later changed, according to the FAQ, “Gotham Knights” is still only playable in single or two-player online co-op and does not have local session support.

And it pretty much goes without saying, a PlayStation Plus subscription or Xbox Live Gold membership isn’t required to play Gotham Knights solo on the consoles. However, PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold is required to play the game in two-player online co-op.

Cross-platform support is currently not planned. However, there is still positive news: there should be no in-game purchases or microtransactions in the game. However, pre-orderers will receive the 233 Kustom Batcycle vehicle skin as a bonus, which all other players may be able to unlock later in the game.
