Google is already showing Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
Written by insideindyhomes

This year, Google was faster than the leaks: At the Google I/O, the manufacturer already showed two new pixel smartphones that are not due to be released until autumn. The Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro retain the camera bar introduced in the predecessor as a distinguishing feature, but the design will probably be less playful. Inside is another processor developed by Google. What the “next generation” of the Tensor SoC will do remains unknown.

This also applies to all other data, because Google only showed a few render impressions. With the help of which one can at least speculate a little. The Pixel 7 Pro will again be equipped with three cameras, the Pixel with two again. Don’t expect big changes to the actual camera system, the 50MP wide-angle lens and 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens will likely remain. The telephoto lens of the Pro version should continue to use periscope technology and not offer a real zoom. In the side view, it is also clear that the camera bar stands out clearly from the rest of the case, as is now common in high-end smartphones.

Both the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro will be available in various color variants.

The “Visor” look of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro (test) is a thing of the past in both variants: Instead of a distinctive black bar, there is now a continuous bar that seems to be part of the housing frame. In it there are prominent black recesses for the individual lenses. In the rendered images, the rear end looks much more of a piece, but how it looks on the real model remains to be seen.

The Pro version will again come with a polished metal frame and the Standard version with a matte aluminum frame. Various colors are already indicated, in addition to silver, the frame is also available in a gold tone. The back itself will again be in a different color than the metal frame and will rely on rather unusual combinations. At first glance, the proportions appear identical to the predecessor. That means the Pixel 7 won’t be significantly smaller than the Pro. Pictures of the front and thus the screens are not yet available.

New look for the camera bar: The design is more harmonious than its predecessor.

The Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro are scheduled to be released with Android 13 in the fall. There is no price information yet. Google is likely to continue to scatter Pixel 7 bits of information here and there over the coming months to keep the rumors under control.
