After being the figurehead of “DSDS” and “Das Supertalent” for almost two decades, Dieter Bohlen and RTL have been going their separate ways for some time – at least with these two formats. It was all the more surprising for many fans that the pop titan spoke up in the “DSDS” final on Saturday with a message for the remaining candidates. Since then, rumors have been circulating again – but it is unlikely that Bohlen will return as a regular juror in the next season.

As the “Bunte” reported, the new juror Florian Silbereisen played a role in Bohlen’s “return” via video message. The former Modern Talking singer commented on this in his Instagram story.

Dieter Bohlen: No contact with Silbereisen

“During the live show, Florian Silbereisen made sure that Dieter Bohlen could also be part of the DSDS final. He delivered a video message that the pop titan had recorded for the candidates,” reads “Bunte”. The magazine may only mean that Silbereisen presented the message to the audience on the show, but Bohlen interpreted the wording as if there had been personal contact between him and Silbereisen beforehand. He then denies the latter immediately:

“I haven’t had any contact with Florian Silbereisen for over a year and have neither spoken to him nor do I send him videos!”

On the occasion, Bohlen also points out again that RTL did not throw him out. Rather, there is still a contract between him and the broadcaster. He had already confirmed this in 2021 when he said in an Instagram video that his contract ran “far beyond this year”. “We only separated for these two formats,” he told his followers at the time.

He justified his departure from “DSDS” and “Das Supertalent” with the new management of the station. From this point on, the ideas about the casting shows simply diverged. “If you have such different opinions about the formats and how you create success, the best way is of course to separate,” said Bohlen.

That Bohlen will one day be seen again on RTL is therefore quite possible – even if at least his career as a juror on “DSDS” and “Das Supertalent” should be over.

Dieter Bohlen back in the limelight

At the moment he is mainly concentrating on music. Together with Pietro Lombardi and Katja Krasavice he has reissued one of his own greatest hits: the modern-talking classic “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul”. Lombardi has also said several times in the past that he would like to have his own TV format with his mentor Bohlen.

At the end of the ninth live show of “Let’s Dance”, Bastian Bielendorfer and Ekaterina Leonova were chosen from the show. With their freestyle mix of rumba, tango, slow fox and contemporary, they were no longer able to win the hearts of the audience and the jury. Joachim Llambi even judged: “We are already in the round of sixteen with the best six dancers. The final is in three weeks. The right ones have to be in the final. I found today’s performance very simply structured. Unfortunately, it was sometimes as stiff as it was last week.”
