Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Ragnarok DLC Launch Trailer

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is bundled with the extensive Ragnarök expansion. If you already have the main game, you can The Signs of Ragnarok but you can also get them individually for less. The add-on with a playing time of around 35 hours brings Nordic mythology into play and gives our main character divine powers. In the main game we try to establish a new empire as a Viking warrior in Britain, which we do partly with brute force, but also partly with diplomacy. In terms of gameplay, it essentially stays true to its predecessors Origins and Odyssey, but adds a few new elements. So we can now take part in raids to capture resources to build our villages.

Call of Duty Vanguard – The launch trailer is in tune with the release

In the Days of Play Sale you can get several Call of Duty games cheaper, including the latest installment, Vanguard. In its amazingly varied campaign, we return to the Second World War and fight against tanks in North Africa, attack anti-aircraft guns on the Atlantic coast and take on the role of a sniper in Stalingrad. All of this is of course staged with the usual bombast that you can expect from a Call of Duty. The multiplayer is once again very fast, which is not only due to the short time to kill, but also to the compact maps. Reaction speed and accuracy are therefore more important than sophisticated tactics.

Call of Duty: Vanguard for €51.99 (PS5, cross-gen) or €41.99 (PS4) on the PS Store

There has never been so much Lego Star Wars - The Skywalker Saga in the test

There has never been so much Lego Star Wars – The Skywalker Saga in the test

We have Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which was only released in April, in our GamePro test voted the best Lego game in years. The scope alone is impressive, because we can actually replay all three Star Wars trilogies and decide right at the beginning which one we want to start with. The staging is also convincing, both through the pretty graphics and the atmospheric music as well as through the successful slapstick humor. In terms of gameplay, you essentially get the well-known mix of action, puzzles and exploration, but the new melee combos provide more depth and the space battles provide variety.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (PS4 & PS5) instead of €59.99 for €47.99 in the PS Store

Cyberpunk 2077 - 1,000 small changes - a big impact!

Cyberpunk 2077 – 1,000 small changes – a big impact!

The role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 not only had its technical difficulties at the time of release, but also long afterwards. In the meantime, however, most of the errors have been ironed out and a lot has been improved, not least thanks to the PS5 upgrade that was released at the beginning of the year. It was obvious from the start that there was a real RPG gem slumbering among the bugs. Cyberpunk 2077 shines above all with its multi-layered characters, its twisted and mature stories and of course its atmospheric game world. In a dystopian future, we roam the dark city of Night City, where we not only mess with criminals, but also with ruthless corporations.

Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4 & PS5) instead of €49.99 for €24.99 in the PlayStation Store

Dying Light 2 - Watch over 15 minutes of new gameplay here

Dying Light 2 – Watch over 15 minutes of new gameplay here

Dying Light 2: Stay Human, released in early 2022, is not just a typical zombie shooter in an open world. With its parkour gameplay, which lets us race across the rooftops of the city at breakneck speed, it has a lot ahead of the genre competition. In addition, Dying Light 2 places a comparatively high value on powerful and bloody melee attacks. While the story has an atmospheric opening, it’s not what makes us want to continue playing later. These tasks are taken over by the motivating progression system and of course our own urge to explore the huge game world. In addition to the main story, which is around 25 hours long, a lot of content is offered through interesting side quests.

Far Cry 6 review

Far Cry 6 review

In Far Cry 6 we are taken to the fictional island of Yara, which is strongly reminiscent of Cuba, where we take up the fight against the dictator Antón Castillo played by Giancarlo Esposito. In the large open world, as usual, we have a lot of tactical options open to us thanks to the rich selection of weapons, vehicles and aircraft. Since the demands are not particularly high, it is usually sufficient if we attack head-on with our favorite weapons. In addition to fighting, we can again pass the time with a lot of side activities, such as car races, treasure hunts or various mini-games. If you just want more Far Cry, you can’t go wrong with Part 6.

GhostWire: Tokyo - Test video for the open world game from the Evil Within developers

GhostWire: Tokyo – Test video for the open world game from the Evil Within developers

In the open-world action game Ghostwire Tokyo, we’re the last survivor to explore a post-apocalyptic version of the Japanese capital, with hordes of demons standing in our way. Luckily, we’re possessed by a spirit that grants us supernatural powers and lets us shoot spells from our fingers. Once we have weakened the demons, we then rip their core out with a kind of magic lasso. At the beginning, Ghostwire Tokyo is extremely captivating due to these game mechanics and its creative, atmospheric art design, but in the long run there is a lack of variety. At the current price, however, that is much easier to get over.

Ghostwire Tokyo (PS5) instead of €69.99 for €34.99 in the PlayStation Store

Beautiful and really good: Our test video for Kena Bridge of Spirits

Beautiful and really good: Our test video for Kena Bridge of Spirits

Kena: Bridge of Spirits impresses at first sight with its beautiful and cute look in the style of an animated film from Pixar or Disney. We play Kena, whose task is to bring rest to the souls of the dead. We don’t face this serious task alone, but are accompanied by cute little creatures called Rott. The more of them join us, the more skills we can unlock. They also help us in battle by launching diversionary maneuvers or enabling special attacks. The boss fights in particular can be quite challenging. The puzzles, which provide variety in between, are kept rather simple.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits (PS4 & PS5) instead of €39.99 for €25.99 in the PlayStation Store

Resident Evil: Village Review Video - Is it the hit we were hoping for?

Resident Evil: Village Review Video – Is it the hit we were hoping for?

Resident Evil 8 connects directly to its predecessor, not only because it uses the first-person perspective again, but also in terms of the story: we play Ethan Winters again, who actually only leads a quiet life with his wife and children want to lead. When the latter is kidnapped, however, he has to go on a quest that leads him to a small Romanian village. Here we encounter rather unusual opponents for the series, such as vampires and werewolves. Compared to Resident Evil 7, the horror has been reduced a bit, but Resident Evil Village not only offers more action, but also a much more varied game world as well as a complex staging and characters that are just as weird as they are interesting.

Resident Evil Village (PS4 & PS5) instead of €69.99 for €30.09 in the PlayStation Store

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Watch 20 minutes of fantasy Borderlands gameplay now

23:53

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Watch 20 minutes of fantasy Borderlands gameplay now

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a spin-off of the loot shooter Borderlands 3. Under the direction of Tiny Tina, we take part in a tabletop role-playing game that sends us into a fantasy world that is strongly reminiscent of Dungeons & Dragons. The gameplay basically stays true to Borderlands 3, although a few weapons have been adapted to the scenario and we can now use spells instead of grenades. In addition, collecting better weapons and equipment is still the focus. Above all, the crazy adventures and varied locations that Tiny Tina comes up with provide a breath of fresh air. Also new is the overview map on which we drag our character from quest to quest.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Next Level Edition (PS4 & PS5) instead of €74.99 for €59.99 in the PS Store
