Final Fantasy fans will get plenty of game fodder in the near future. In addition to Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, which is scheduled for release in late 2023, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be released in the coming winter months. This is the remaster of the 2007 PSP original.
How well has the original aged? We have selected two comparison videos for you that show the visual differences in the remaster. The videos make it clear once again what technical possibilities there are nowadays to make a game more attractive.
Crisis Core: Original and Remaster compared
The two YouTube channels Cycu1 and ElAnalistaDeBits show different scenes from the original and the remaster in their videos. It becomes clear that the animations of the cutscenes in particular have remained almost unchanged. All the more has happened in terms of optics:

In addition to the polished textures, the revised user interface and the improved lighting effects, it is noticeable that the camera can now be rotated more freely. This gives us a better overview of what is happening in battle in heated battles.
Furthermore, Square Enix states that the characters will receive a completely new dubbing and the soundtrack will be reissued. All the changes compared show that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion might as well have been a remake.
The level is roughly on par with Final Fantasy 7 Remake. For example, the character model of Aerith is similar to the first part of the new FF 7 trilogy. We recognize the armored sword just as well, which will later become Cloud’s possession. So we can assume that Zack will also keep his character model in FF 7: Rebirth.

Everything you need to know about Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion
When will Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion be released? If your loved ones don’t know what to get you for Christmas this year, you can reassure them. The game will be released in late 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Why is? The game illuminates the events before the main game Final Fantasy 7. The protagonist Zack Fair is at the center of the action. Like Cloud Strife, he is a Soldier and dreams of becoming a first-class soldier.
