Ubisoft is probably not finished with Origins yet.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has already done it, and now it seems it’s Assassin’s Creed Origins turn: according to the portal PlayStation game size, which regularly pulls details from the PlayStation system and shares it with the community, the upcoming update 1.60 for Origins will introduce a higher frame rate (probably 60 FPS) as well as a “franchise menu”. If the information is correct, the patch will almost certainly also come for the Xbox Series X/S.

When is update 1.60 expected to be released? According to the source, it should be as early as next week, between May 24th and 26th.

That’s why the patch for Assassin’s Creed Origins could mean more

Role model AC Odyssey? We remember: With the next gen update for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, a crossover event with AC Valhalla was introduced at the end of last year. In both games we were able to enjoy a completely new story. In one Kassandra and Eivor meet, in the other Kassandra continues after the end of the Odyssey story.

Added to this is the fact that a menu will also be added in Origins from which we can launch the last three titles and which is also an indicator that there could be crossover content.

Find out why AC Origins is one of the best Assassin’s Creed games in our test video:

Allusion in the last crossover (attention, small spoiler for the last Odyssey DLC): Even more tangibly, a scene in the “Those Who Are Treassured” crossover suggests that an overarching storyline between Odyssey and Origins awaits us. In the DLC, Kassandra briefly ends up in the land of the pharaohs. Here she sneaks through a temple and places a scroll. It really doesn’t get much more obvious than that.

This is how Assassin’s Creed continues

The update for Origins also makes sense because there will probably not be a new part this year, but probably a Valhalla DLC. 2023 could then continue with AC Rift, which should probably be based on the old parts of the series in terms of gameplay. And then there’s Infinity and Nexus, which you can read more about here.

Would you like more crossover action for Assassin’s Creed?
